The Antwerp Maritime Academy (Hogere Zeevaartschool) in Belgium was re-founded under Belgian rule in 1834 after the French period. Today, courses are taught both in Dutch and French and the Academy is at present the only college in Belgium offering training in Nautical Sciences and Marine Engineering. The Academy has offered resource management training since the mid-1990s and MRM training will commence in April 2010.
