Change of General P&I Representation in the US and Canada February 20, 2005

Please be advised that, effective February 20, 2005, Independent Maritime Consulting Ltd will act as our general US and Canada correspondent for both H&M and P&I.

Independent Maritime Consulting Ltd has served as our general US and Canada H&M correspondent for several years. Full details of the organization, which was featured in our recent newsletter (The Swedish Club Letter 2/2004), can be found on their website at www.independentmaritime.com

Response to P&I and H&M matters arising in the US and Canada will be coordinated from Independent Maritime Consulting Ltd’s head office in Connecticut, headed by David Smith. The team will include Carl Cederstav as well as Don Messick, the latter currently employed by Atlantic Marine Associates in New York. Don Messick will join Independent Maritime Consulting Ltd on February 21st.

As per normal practice, members are advised to contact the Club for assistance in the event of P&I and Hull cases in US and Canada. In urgent matters, Independent Maritime Consulting Ltd head office can be contacted on a direct basis. The general office number (+1 203 256 1000) also serves as the emergency after hour’s telephone number. Further, you will find cell phone and home numbers on Independent Maritime Consulting Ltd’s website and in our 2005 List of Correspondents. The latter will be distributed shortly after February 20th.
