It has recently been observed that some of the vessels calling the Ports of Islamic Republic Of Iran are using the faked name of Arabian Gulf instead of the correct name of “Persian Gulf” in their documents including vessels’ Port Clearance from the port. In accordance with the regulation of the United Nations, the Persian Gulf is considered to be the internationally recognized & genuine name.

You are kindly requested to inform all those in the shipping industry such as marine affairs, shipping agencies and shipping companies to take note of the above and make necessary arrangement not to use the Arabian Gulf instead of Persian Gulf otherwise no service is given to such ships.
