Following on from our previous comments regarding customs fines in Dakar further problems have been encountered and the Customs authorities , appear to be concentrating over the last few weeks on ship’s compliance with the Customs code: and are paying particular attention to ship’s declarations of stores, paints, bunkers and lub oil lists compared to the actual quantities on board.
