
Claims Manager FD&D – Team Gothenburg, Sweden
Our operation is divided into three teams, one located in Gothenburg, one in Piraeus and one in Hong Kong. Each team is responsible for members within a certain geographical area and has all necessary resources to deliver high quality services in relation to all classes of insurance offered by the Club.

Work Description
In this role you will handle FD&D claims independently and give legal advice to members. You will report to the Head of Claims in Team Gothenburg. The job also involves training and support to colleagues in Team Gothenburg and Team Piraeus. Therefore, frequent travelling to Greece forms part of the job.
Summary of working tasks:
• Handling all sorts of FD&D claims including drafting of claims submissions
• Handling P&I claims as required
• Providing legal advice to members and in-house
• Writing articles for the Club’s publications and giving seminars
• Travelling to attend legal proceedings or to assist and meet with members
• Training and guiding colleagues in FD&D claims (Team Gothenburg and Team Piraeus)
• Assisting in the marketing of the FD&D class
Place of work
The place of work is our office in Gothenburg, Sweden where you will be a member of a professional and committed team. You will also support our team in Piraeus and travel to Greece on a regular basis.
Qualifications
This position is offered to you who are a qualified solicitor or barrister and have working experience from practicing maritime law with a law firm or a P&I Club. You should have solid experience from charterparty disputes and arbitrations. The job also requires excellent social and cultural skills and a pro-active work style.
